International Fulfillment Update (email incoming for many of you)

Hello everyone,

We're in the last week before Christmas break and we've just heard back from both AetherWorks & Happyshops with more information about their fulfillment schedules.

AetherWorks: Amazingly, the Australian / New Zealand freight has already cleared customs and arrived at the AW warehouse. This is fantastic news, though we're afraid it doesn't change the fulfillment schedule very much. AetherWorks isn't back from their holiday break until 08-Jan, and we're told they expect to begin fulfillment shortly after that. We'll keep on the case, and follow up with you as soon as we know more.

Happyshops: We're told Happyshops has begun the fulfillment process, and we've heard from some of you that email has arrived indicating you're in the queue to receive your games. Our view of this process is limited, but we expect that most if not all of you should be receiving similar email in the next week or so. We fully expect the holiday to interrupt this process at some point, but for now we're crossing our fingers that all the packages will go out before that happens.

A reminder - the Siege of Luthadel expansion will *NOT* be included in this shipping wave. That release is still in development and not expected to ship until late 2018.

International Fulfillment Update (with ship tracking)

Hey everyone!  

It's been a little bit since our last full update. We've been keeping everyone apprised in the Comments section, but we've held off posting a full update until we had concrete data on all fronts. We have as much info as we're going to get for the moment, so here we go! 

USA & Canada: If you live in one of these two territories you should already have your pledge rewards. If you do not, then something has gone wrong and we need to follow up. If that's the case, please email us at [email protected] and we'll do our best to figure out what happened and deliver your goods. 

Australia & New Zealand: The freight is on its way to AetherWorks! We're told it should arrive by 26-Dec, after which there will probably be 1-2 weeks of prep before backer packages go out (possibly 3 weeks when you factor in the Christmas holiday). We will update you with more information as we have it, but it's unlikely we will know more until early January. In the meantime, if you would like to follow the ship's voyage, here are some links!

Everywhere Else: We expected the Happyshops freight to be on the water just now but as we mentioned in the Comments section we were able to secure an AIR FREIGHT solution instead! As a result, the Happyshops stock has already cleared customs, weeks ahead of our expectations when we posted the last update. 

Happyshops is currently prepping for backer fulfillment across the many countries it's handling, and we hope to hear back from them within the next week or so with a shipping schedule. Happyshops is very, very busy right now with multiple projects going at once, but they assure us they'll begin sending packages as soon as they possibly can.

As always, we appreciate every bit of your continued support through this process. It's taken a lot longer than it should have on some fronts, and we know the wait is frustrating. We've done everything we can to speed things up - and in some cases that's paid off handsomely (the air freight solution, for example). We will continue to push as hard as we can until everyone has their games.

Repack complete, international freight leaving the U.S. very soon

Hello everyone, 

Brief update today with nothing but good news! 

Just as we estimated in our last update, the repack was completed in 3 weeks. In fact, it was completed and Gamerati confirmed their spot check for accuracy this past Thursday, so we were done 1 full day ahead of schedule. 

This is fantastic as it means we are now prepping pallets for AetherWorks, Happyshops, and Starlit Citadel. As soon as these pallets are en route to their destinations we should be able to get semi-reliable estimates on the rest of the international fulfillment process. Yes, there's still the chance of a storm at sea or some other element throwing things off, but the steps from that point to getting the games in your hands are far more predictable than the ones we've had to take these last couple months. 

We will send out another update as soon as we have those reliable estimates. In the meantime, if you are an international backer and have moved or otherwise changed your address in the last year, now is the time to contact us (at [email protected]). We are very close to finalizing all the fulfillment information for our international partners. 

Meanwhile, replacement punchboards have been sent to every backer in the U.S. Customers who bought the game at Gen Con are being sent their replacemnent punchboards this week, along with U.S. retail backers (well ahead of the actual street date, we might add). If anyone in the U.S. has not received their punchboards or repacked games by the end of October, you should feel free to contact us at [email protected] so we can pin down what's happened with your package. 

We are currently working with distribution and retailers to pin down a revised street date for the game. It's still a little ways off, so U.S. retail backers should have plenty of time with their pledge rewards before the rest of the market receives their copies.

Finally, we have more awesome news from our friends at Shire Post Mint. They've put together special packs of Era 1 Clips to replace the Money tokens in Mistborn: House War! Updates, updates, and more updates (and a plug)

Hello backers!

It's been about 5 weeks since our last update. Apologies for that, but as we've said several times in the Comments section we didn't have a great deal to report during that time. We do now, so let's get straight to the news! 

U.S. Fulfillment Update

Note: The following does NOT apply to U.S. retail backers. For more about retail fulfillment, see the U.S. Retail Fulfillment Update section below. 

As of the last update, we had completed Wave 1 of U.S. fulfillment. We are happy to report that we are now well past Waves 2 & 3 as well. RPG books due to U.S. backers are also shipped, and that means that every U.S. pledge reward we can fulfill should already have arrived. 

There are still several dozen outstanding pledge rewards in the U.S. - all for backers whose shipping payments failed, or for backers who never filled out their pledge manager survey. If you are a U.S. backer and have not yet received your rewards, you probably fall into one of these two categories and should contact us at [email protected].

Replacement Punchboard Update

As we mentioned in this update, two of the three punchboards in the game were misprinted. We ordered replacements for those and we are extremely happy to report that they have arrived, and they look great! 

We will be shipping replacement punchboards to everyone who already has the game in the next week!

U.S Retail Fulfillment Update

Meanwhile, every remaining copy of the Mistborn: House War Retail Edition is being repacked with the correct punchboards, then resealed so they're store-ready copies. This process should take around 2 weeks, though that's just an estimate and it's possible it's a bit low. 

Regardless, once the Retail Editions are repacked we'll be able to fulfill all U.S. retail pledge rewards. This is also the last piece of the puzzle for international fulfillment. Speaking of which...

International Fulfillment Update

Understandably, the question we're asked most right now is when we'll be fulfilling pledge rewards for everyone overseas. It's a fair question, but it's also been a very difficult question to answer definitively. This is because of all the variables at every step of the process. 

We have the replacement punchboards in now, and the necessary RPG inventory has arrived from the Studio 2 warehouse. Once we receive the repacked Retail Editions, we can arrange freight to Germany (for Happyshops), to Australia (for AetherWorks), and to Canada (for Starlit Citadel).

The Canadian shipment should go pretty quickly as our warehouse is in the Pacific Northwest. It's just a matter of driving the freight across the border. Customs is still in the mix, but any delay on this front should be negligible.

The German & Australian shipments are both sea freight, which is slow. We need to pessimistically plan for 4 to 6 weeks, and the Australian shipment could potentially take up to 2 months. Yes, it could be much faster, but we can't guarantee it. 

The good news is that by the time the stock arrives to Happyshops & AetherWorks everything should be prepped for a quick turnaround. By then we'll have all their questions answered and everything should be in place for a smooth fulfillment period in each region. 

We should have freight estimates back in time for our next update. More than likely that update will be posted right after we receive the repacked Retail Editions. With luck, most of the unknowns will be known by then and we'll be able to offer semi-reliable ETAs for everyone across the rest of the world. 

Without the benefit of these estimates, here's what we currently estimate...

• Canada: Late October, early November
• Europe: Late November
• Rest of World: December

We will tighten up this schedule as soon as we possibly can. We should have more details around the third week of October, or sooner if the repacking process goes quickly.

Mistborn Coins

Last but certainly not least, our friends at Shire Post Mint have launched a Kickstarter for a series of gorgeous collectible Mistborn coins. They're making boxings and clips for both eras of the Mistborn storyline, all hand-engraved in brass and copper, and add-ons include collector's display boxes and lovely leather bags. It's a truly amazing campaign, and we highly recommend you check it out! 

 

 

     

That about does it for now. Again, you can expect to hear from us right after we receive the repacked Retail Editions, so probably around the third week of October. We may post sooner if we have concrete data before then.
